Abstract

Global trade is largely driven by the human needs and other geopolitical factors which are dynamic in nature. In the recent past some of the geopolitical issues include continuing conflict between USA and China which impacting exports from China, turmoil in Venezuela affecting their exports, and European containerised imports looking likely to be stuck with demand growth of no more than 2% for years to come. The last year has seen unprecedented changes with the onset of COVID-19 its impact on the vessels calling ports during the year 2020.
